About Ms Brenda

Ms Brenda Lovelady Spahn left her long term career as a successful business woman to start The Lovelady Center in 2004. What started in her home, is now a very successful ministry that has been home to over 12,000 women. Ms Brenda has a PHD in Humanities from Tennessee Temple University and received the NBC13 Making a Difference award and the Jeremiah 29:11 Humanitarian Award.

Melinda Megahee, Ms Brenda’s daughter, seceded ms Brenda as executive director. While Ms Brenda is no longer involved in day to day activities she counsels Melinda as well as takes on projects to assist in center development. She also teaches classes, paints, and is now involved in writing her third book. She serves on the Lovelady board of directors. Ms Brenda recently started a podcast, giving a voice to the women whose lives have been forever changed by the center. She also has many of the volunteers who have helped establish the Lovelady center on as guests, as well as other ministry leaders in the fight to save lives from addiction and crime.

Ms Brenda’s books can be purchased here. The first book is currently being made into a movie by Lionsgate and they are in the process of setting up plans to turn the second book into a movie as well. She is so excited to share the story of how God spoke to her and used her to create this incredible ministry as well as redemption stories of some of the women who have been through the program.
